Abortion

Granted, It's a touchy subject, but it must be faced if we are to prevent inhuman activity.
First of all, the obvious conservative retort to this issue is "How could you kill a baby?" But others argue that it doesn't count as a human being--whether it's an embryo or a fetus--and even that the baby isn't alive, per se. Where does the science come in here? The baby's taking in nutrients from the mother. Of course it's alive! Admittedly, in the early stages it doesn't look much like a human being, but who in their right mind would allow a person, even an unborn baby, to be killed on grounds that it looks nothing like a human? Anybody besides me sense a tie-in with discrimination of race? Just because it looks different you can say it isn't a human? If it will develop into a human, it is a human. Another thing: the baby is not part of the mother. Blood doesn't mix between them. The immune system of the mother thinks the baby is a foreign object, and will reject it if it is not protected correctly. The mother can cut off her thumb if she wants, because that is part of her, but she cannot kill the baby. These ideas of mother and child being the same person are ridiculous and completely unscientific. Just by the way the advocates say these things, you can tell that they know abortion is wrong inside them.
Oh, I forgot to mention. People who are for abortion prefer the name pro-choice, not pro-abortion. The choice to kill a baby. What a choice! So, us conservatives are supposed to be anti-choice? We're for choice, all right, but the choice to not have a baby in the first place. The idea that we should give a break to irresponsible pregnant teens so they can correct their mistake is preposterous. Once you have human life in you, you have no control over the baby's life. But still, pro-choice people say, "Why should you have control over the woman's body?" Well, why should the woman have control over the baby's body? What kind of country allows the killing of helpless children? The bottom line is, would you kill a baby just because you were too lazy to take care of it? There's a special place called "The Orphanage" if you don't want to take responsibility for your actions. And that's not cruel, compared to no life at all. What if your parents had you when they were teens and couldn't face the idea of raising a child at their age, so they aborted you?
Human life should NEVER be compromised, whether laziness or over-population is a concern or not.
